Student Council and Playground Buddies
Student Council
At our school, we believe that every child’s voice matters. Each year, two children from every class in Years 2 to 6 are elected by their classmates to represent them on the Student Council. These representatives meet regularly with Ms Chandler to share ideas, discuss school life, and help make positive changes for everyone.
The Student Council plays an important role in shaping our school community. They gather feedback from their peers and work together to find solutions, develop new initiatives, and celebrate what is going well. All feedback from the Student Council is shared directly with the Principal, ensuring that pupils have a real influence on the decisions that affect their school.
As a school located close to the Houses of Parliament, we make the most of our unique position to bring British Values to life. Children learn about democracy, individual liberty, the rule of law, and mutual respect and tolerance through real experiences, discussions, and opportunities to take part in decision-making.

Playground Buddies
Our Playground Buddies are a small, specially selected group of older pupils who support younger children during break and lunchtime. You’ll find them in the lunch hall and out on the playground, helping to make sure everyone feels included and supported.
Playground Buddies help children make new friendships, encourage positive social interactions, and organise simple structured games so that playtimes are happy, safe, and enjoyable for all.
